In individual meetings, they expanded their discussions and explored partnerships in research, teaching and future exchange agreements.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Existing partnerships include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.red-global.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cReligious Diversity in a Globalised World (ReD Global)\u201d<\/a> Master programme, coordinated by Professor Lautaro Roig Lanzillotta from the University of Groningen, with the Faculty of Theology of the University of Bern as an associated partner. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1275\" style=\"width:385px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/internationalblog.unibe.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/UNI_1793-405x270.jpg 405w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raingard Esser, Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Groningen works with Tobias Hodel, Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities at the University of Bern teaching the summer school <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rug.nl\/education\/summer-winter-schools\/ttm\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cThings That Matter, Material and Culture in\/for the Digital Age\u201d<\/a>. The project also involves the Universities of Durham, T\u00fcbingen and Uppsala. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Albert Hafner, Professor in Archaeology at the University of Bern, and Marco Hostettler, PhD candidate at the University of Bern, are currently developing an online course entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/48scUgD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cDeep History of Food\u201d<\/a> in collaboration with the Universities of the Basque Country, Groningen and Uppsala. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Student representatives from the University of Bern offered valuable insights into the Student Council\u2019s role and student life in Bern. Additionally, there were in-depth discussions on the Swiss Higher Education System, giving the Groningen delegation a deeper understanding of the academic landscape in Switzerland.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Future initiatives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ENLIGHT presents exciting opportunities to cooperate in areas such as challenge-based education, citizen science and staff development. Looking ahead, the University of Bern will host a delegation from the University of Uppsala and the Communications Coordination Team (CCT) in March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 27 to 29 November 2024, the General meeting will take place in Bern.
